Questions
What is a group similarity check?
It compares the ZIPs you upload with each other and shows which submissions share code, with the matching lines side by side. Upload two or more ZIPs, usually one per student. It is free 3 times a week. It does not search the web or check for AI-written code.
What does a deep scan add?
Everything group similarity does, plus a search of 427B+ web sources including GitHub, Stack Overflow and Chegg, and a check for code written by tools like ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot. It works with a single ZIP.
How much does it cost?
Group similarity is free. A deep scan is $39 for the whole check, not per file, paid once by card. There is no subscription.
Do I need a Codequiry account?
No. Upload your files and the report opens here when the check finishes. Leave an email and the same link is sent to you.
Which programming languages are supported?
66 languages, including Python, Java, C, C++, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, Go, Kotlin, Swift, Ruby and SQL. Each check runs as one language, so upload files of the same language together.
How long does a check take?
Most finish in a few minutes. Bigger uploads take longer. You can close the page, the link is emailed when the report is ready.
How long can I access the results?
The results link works for 30 days. Anyone with the link can open the report, so share it with care.
Can a deep scan check code for copyright?
Yes. It names every public source a file matches, such as a GitHub repository or a Stack Overflow answer, with the matched lines side by side. It shows where the code came from, not which licence applies.
