Policy Overview

Understanding who can use Codequiry

Codequiry is a plagiarism detection platform exclusively designed for verified educators, teachers, professors, educational institutions, businesses, and enterprises. Student usage of this platform is strictly prohibited and constitutes a violation of academic integrity.

Major Policy Change: As of 2025

All student accounts have been deactivated as of 2025. Codequiry has become a fully educator-only platform. We observed a significant increase in students using Codequiry to check their code before submission and reverse engineer their plagiarism scores—essentially using our platform to circumvent academic integrity measures and evade detection.

This abuse of our platform undermines the very purpose of academic integrity. Students were iteratively modifying plagiarized code until it passed detection, defeating the educational goals of honest work and genuine learning.

Due to this misuse, Codequiry is now exclusively for verified educators and authorized entities only.

Why This Policy Exists

When students use plagiarism detection services to check their own work before submission, it fundamentally undermines the academic integrity process. Students can iteratively modify their plagiarized code until it evades detection, which defeats the entire purpose of academic honesty enforcement.

Codequiry exists to protect education, not to help students circumvent academic integrity checks.

Mandatory Faculty Verification Required

Every Codequiry account now requires strict faculty verification. All educators must go through comprehensive verification where their faculty ID cards and institutional directory websites are thoroughly verified to ensure that only legitimate educators can access the platform.

Verification Process Includes:

  • Faculty ID Card Verification: Government-issued faculty identification must be submitted
  • Institutional Directory Verification: Your name must appear on official school/university faculty directory websites
  • Institutional Email Verification: Valid .edu, .ac.uk, or institutional email address required
  • Employment Verification: Official documentation proving current educator employment status
  • Business/Enterprise Verification: Company documentation and business licenses for corporate accounts

This strict verification ensures that students cannot create accounts or misrepresent themselves as educators.

Consequences for Student Usage

All student accounts deactivated as of 2025

2025 Policy Enforcement: All Student Accounts Deactivated

AS OF 2025, STUDENTS ARE NO LONGER ALLOWED ON CODEQUIRY. ALL STUDENT ACCOUNTS HAVE BEEN DEACTIVATED.

Why this change? We observed a significant increase in students using Codequiry to check their code before submission and reverse engineer their plagiarism scores down. Students were using our platform to circumvent academic integrity measures—essentially gaming the system to avoid detection.

This misuse directly undermines the purpose of academic integrity and honest education. Rather than learning from their work, students were iteratively modifying plagiarized code until it passed our detection algorithms.

Moving forward, every account requires faculty verification OR must be a business/enterprise account. No exceptions.

Immediate Account Deactivation

ANY STUDENT CAUGHT USING THIS PLATFORM WILL HAVE THEIR ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY DEACTIVATED.

If our system detects or we receive reports of student usage, the following actions will be taken:

  • Immediately suspended without warning
  • Permanently deactivated
  • Flagged in our system
  • Banned from creating future accounts
  • Student's university/institution may be notified

University Reporting

We reserve the right to report students to their educational institutions. Creating an account on this platform as a student constitutes a violation of academic integrity policies at most universities. Your institution's honor code office or academic integrity department may be contacted.

No Refunds for Violations

Students caught using this platform are NOT eligible for refunds. This is explicitly stated in our Refund Policy.

Any subscription fees paid by students attempting to use this service to circumvent academic integrity checks will be forfeited. This includes trial subscriptions that convert to paid plans.

Single Check = Instant Ban

Even a SINGLE assignment check will result in immediate flagging and account termination.

Our Detection System

We use sophisticated monitoring to identify student usage patterns:

  • Single-file checks (typical student behavior)
  • Submission timing patterns matching assignment due dates
  • Student email addresses or .edu domains
  • Code similarity to known assignment templates
  • Usage patterns inconsistent with educator behavior

Academic Integrity Commitment

Our mission to protect education

Our Mission

Codequiry was founded to support educators in maintaining academic integrity and fostering genuine learning. We believe students develop authentic coding skills through honest work, not by gaming detection systems.

Protecting Education

We refuse to be complicit in academic dishonesty by allowing students to test their plagiarized work

Fair Assessment

Educators deserve tools that work, not systems that students can easily circumvent

Supporting Teachers

We stand with educators working to cultivate honest learning environments

Real Learning

True skill development comes from original work, not finding ways to avoid detection

A Message to Students

As of 2025, Codequiry is a fully educator-only platform. All student accounts have been deactivated due to widespread misuse. Students were using our platform to check their code before submission and reverse engineer their plagiarism scores—essentially gaming academic integrity systems.

If you're a student considering creating an account or attempting to access this platform, please understand:

  • Your account will be terminated immediately upon detection
  • You will not receive a refund under any circumstances
  • You will be permanently flagged in our system
  • Your institution may be notified of the violation
  • Faculty verification is now mandatory—students cannot bypass this

More importantly: Using plagiarism detection tools to avoid getting caught defeats the entire purpose of your education. You're paying for an education—get your money's worth by actually learning the material. The skills you gain through honest work are what will matter in your career, not your ability to game a detection system.
