Frequently Asked Questions
Why are certain regions restricted?
We have chosen to focus our operations in markets where we can provide optimal service while managing regulatory compliance. This is a standard business practice for technology companies.
What if I'm traveling to a restricted region?
We recommend not accessing our services while physically located in restricted regions to avoid potential account issues. Our restrictions are based on location of access.
Can I request an exception?
We do not grant exceptions to our geographic restrictions. However, educators in restricted regions facing emergency academic integrity situations should review the "Emergency Usage for Academic Integrity" section above. This section provides full disclosure that our service is NOT GDPR-compliant and allows educators to make an informed choice about using a non-compliant service in exceptional circumstances. This is not an exception to our policy, but rather transparent disclosure of our non-compliance to enable informed decision-making.
Will you expand to restricted regions in the future?
We have no current plans to expand service availability to restricted regions. Any future changes will be announced publicly.
